We are committed to following industry best practices that proactively ensure the security of your payments. As part of that ongoing process, on September 17 we will be initiating a password policy update to your CSI Paysystems account, designed to increase the security of your account credentials. This change will require additional criteria be met in terms of password length and complexity. This change does not require immediate action until your password has expired following the September 17 update.
After September 17, when you are prompted to reset your password, you must do so according to the following criteria:
- At least 14 characters long with a maximum length of 64 characters
- Must contain at least one number
- Must contain upper and lowercase letters
- Must contain at least one of the following special characters: !@#$%^-_
- Cannot be the same as the username used to access the application
Answers to Some Questions You May Have:
No. After September 17, when you are prompted to update your password at the expected interval, the password will then have to meet the above requirements.
Currently you are prompted to change your password after your current password has expired. CSI will soon be adding an enhancement that will present a message to users within CSI Paysystems three days prior to the date a password is set to expire.
CSI is implementing this change to provide a better level of client service and payments security as part of our ongoing commitment to industry best practices.
