CSI GlobalVCard was introduced as a B2B application in September 2011 and plans to launch end of Q2 2012 to the consumer market armed with more defined merchant categories, VCard image customizations, batch VCard creation, real-time reporting, recipient VCard balance and details, add recipient from mobile device contact list and capture photo receipt. Built-in NFC capabilities will be revealed end of Q3 2012.
What differentiates CSI globalVCard™ app from other mobile payment applications? CSI globalVCard™ is a revolutionary payment method for any size business; a one-man show or several hundred thousand employees, that allows users to create their own virtual cards with custom purchase restrictions without navigating through a cumbersome online virtual card creation process. Unlike most mobile payment applications that are tied to existing static plastic card numbers, users can create secure single and multi-use virtual account numbers from their tablet or smartphone device. CSI globalVCard is available as a free download on iOS, Android and BlackBerry platforms.
The app contains enhanced security features including pin-prompting at login, screen lock feature for safer retail purchases and sensitive credit card data is not stored on a mobile device’s operating system or hardware. The app has custom control features which include the ability to set profiles specific to employees by merchant category group, dollar amount and/or transaction limit as well as view or block existing cards. These specific purchase restrictions are also perfect for parents sharing virtual cards with a child. Convenience features of the app include the ability to copy and paste card account details within a smartphone/tablet browser to enhance the online purchase experience.
“We value our consumer’s voice and taking into consideration their wants and needs,” explained Keith Stone, CSI President and CEO.” We’ve designed CSI globalVCard with a strong foundation of Control, Security and Convenience. It is of utmost importance to only enhance these qualities to accommodate the ever-evolving mobile payment arena.”
